Spring is in the air. The Daylight Savings Time switch and the issuance of the Tax Receipt reminded us of that. And speaking of, if you haven’t yet, we encourage you to sign up at CECC Tax Receipt Donation Form to receive your tax receipts electronically. Thank you for your generous contributions to CECC. Your generosity has made meaningful impact, allowing us to strengthen our church ministry programs, including VBS and retreats, while fostering worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth within our community.
During March Break, many of our youths participated at the AFC Teens Conference at RHCCC where our teens learned to “Be Bold” and take courage to follow Jesus, not in isolation, but to find it together. One of our own, Travis Q., served as a band member of the TC2025 Worship Team. The youths really had a great time during TC and they made new friends and grew their faith. On the last Sunday of March, we were blessed with the TC2025 Worship Team visiting our church and leading the praise and worship.
Continuing the ‘A Great Cloud of Witnesses’ series, Pastor Andrew kicked off the month with a message on Ruth, followed by Pastor Ian’s sermon on God’s message to the Israelites through Zechariah and His call for them to return. The following week, Pastor Andrew analyzed Jacob’s journey as God humbled him and as he developed a relationship with God. On March 23, we had a guest speaker, Dr. Lawson Murray, who preached about leaving a spiritual legacy that lasts. Pastor Ian then closed the month off with a sermon on Jonah’s prayer while he was inside the fish. For Sunday School, the kids learned “How do I fit into God’s family?“. You can find more information about the weekly lessons from the email being sent out by our dedicated Sunday School coordinators. In March, we have started sending out weekly update emails to parents on what’s happening in our Sunday School program and upcoming events. Keep an eye for those emails.
