Focus: Youth Ministry & Evangelism
Reports to: Senior Pastor
Status: Full Time (approximately 40 hours per week)

Job Description
Collaborate with Pastor(s) to provide pastoral leadership for the English Ministry, with a primary focus on high school and university/college youth. Partner with Pastor(s) to lead and develop evangelism and outreach initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral leadership for the Youth Fellowship (high school & university/college), currently 15-25 members.
- Plan and coordinate activities with youth officers, including fellowship events, Bible studies, mission, and outreach activities.
- Offer pastoral care and mentorship to youth, addressing their spiritual, emotional, and social needs.
- Recruit and equip adult leaders to assist in the youth ministry.
- Foster healthy communication pathways between parents and teens.
- Lead evangelism and outreach ministries in collaboration with the Pastoral staff and the Church Board.
- Attend and assist in the English worship service, with at least once a month preaching duties. Oversee the worship service in the absence of the Senior Pastor.
- Participate in English prayer meetings.
- Attend monthly Church Board meetings.
- Report to and function under the direct supervision of the Senior Pastor, integrating youth activities into the overall ministries of the church.
- Meet regularly with the Senior Pastor.
Qualifications
- Be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ, baptized in an Evangelical Church.
- Exhibit a passion for God, maturity, godliness, humility, and a teachable spirit.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and a passion for leading young people to know God and follow His ways.
- Adhere to the Christian Evangelical Tradition and agree with the CECC Statement of Faith.
- Hold an accredited Bible College or Seminary level degree.
- Possess cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with people from diverse ethnic backgrounds.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with youth ministries (employed or volunteer) and in a team ministry environment (employed or volunteer) is preferred.

- Communication: Strong skills in fostering healthy communication between parents, teens, and church members.
- Mentorship: Capability to offer pastoral care and mentorship to youth, addressing their spiritual, emotional, and social needs.
- Event Planning: Proficiency in planning and coordinating youth activities, fellowship events, and Bible studies.
- Evangelism and Outreach: Experience in leading evangelism and outreach ministries.
Working Conditions
- Regular interaction with volunteers, staff, and members.
- Weekend work required, primarily on Sundays.
- Flexibility to adjust to the needs of the church.
- Applicants should be aware that our church, while aspiring to be a multi-ethnic community, originated as an Asian church. We have two congregations: English and Mandarin/Minnan.
Additional Information
The successful candidate must provide an acceptable vulnerable sector police records check prior to the commencement of employment.
